Delight in watching award winning theatre ensemble, Born in a Taxi, perform their Southern Brown Bandicoot inspired show.
See the world as a Bandicoot does, as you join in craft and science activities to uncover the wonderful world of our native marsupials.

Ian Potter Lakeside Precinct Lawn
Wild City is a mini urban landscape where wild animals are considered citizens. This interactive art installation by Kathy Holowko presents a playful twist on urban planning with co-habitation and urban ecology ideas at its heart. Participants watch an informative animation and then explore the wild city.

Cranbourne Gardens is a unique haven for endangered Southern Brown Bandicoots, along with a wide array of native wildlife. Enjoy a guided walk through the Australian Garden to learn all about these marvellous marsupials! Whether you live in the bush or the heart of the city, learn which plants and garden features can support your favourite critters, and some simple steps to act for bandicoots and help them thrive in the suburbs.

Inside the Visitor Centre
Come and enjoy performances from South-east artists from the GRID Series Program: M4RTHA, Jordz, ACP, Kiid Koda as well as local DJs Sensible J and DJ Verse@ille! These talented artists recorded film clips at the Red Sand Garden in collaboration with RBGV in 2025. GRID Series is a music program supporting emerging artists from outer-metropolitan Melbourne, including mentoring, song development, recording sessions, video content, and live performance opportunities.
