Director’s Circle

Professor Tim Entwisle, Director and Chief Executive of Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, invites you to participate in his Director's Circle, which provides a unique opportunity for supporters to enjoy a close relationship with the Gardens.

Director's Circle donors

As a Director’s Circle member, you can invest in the future of Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, with your annual gift supporting the Gardens’ vital conservation work.

Your membership provides closer involvement with the Gardens through exclusive events run for our members. Deepen your engagement with the Gardens by enjoying behind-the-scenes tours with the Director and experts in their fields, taking you on a discovery of the Gardens’ history, fascinating scientific projects and exciting developments within our beautiful landscapes and plant collections. Members also enjoy invitations to our three signature events – The Director’s Circle Dinner, Christmas Cocktails and a Cranbourne Gardens tour – alongside regular updates on Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria through publications.

Director's Circle donations are unrestricted. A proportion is invested in the Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation to ensure the conservation and development of the Gardens for the enjoyment of future generations, and the remainder is allocated by the director to special projects in areas such as biodiversity research, water management and plant collections. Director's Circle donors are encouraged to play an active role in supporting forward planning and development.

Director's Circle donors are also invited to purchase an annual Director's Circle Membership, which costs $200 a year (Membership is not tax-deductible and protects the tax-deductibility of Director’s Circle gifts).

To join the Director's Circle, please download, complete and return the Director’s Circle form.

Recently, we invited some existing members to share their thoughts on what the Director’s Circle means to them. Here is what they had to say:

“We just love the Gardens.”

“The staff…are so passionate about what they do…”

“We were invited to one of the evenings and… we’ve been Director’s Circle members ever since.”

“…around the whole Director’s Circle there are people with amazing backgrounds, abilities and skills…”

“[We]…really feel like we’re connected…I get involved with a number of different groups…but I actually haven’t felt that same way about any of those other organisations the way I feel about the Gardens.”

“…but most of all we love having a small role in a very special place…”
