Ian Potter Lakeside Precinct at Cranbourne Gardens receives well-earned upgrade for the Summer
The popular Ian Potter Lakeside Precinct at Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Cranbourne Gardens is now one of the top spots for a peaceful, lakeside picnic. The area has received a well-earned upgrade with addition on new facilities and features for the public to enjoy.
The grassy lawn now includes cool market umbrellas, chairs and tables, bean bags, as well as a number of fun lawn games, offering fun for all ages.
A new portable visitor hub will also open on weekends, with Visitor Experience Officers and Garden Ambassadors are on site to offer assistance, gardening advice, tours and engage visitors in their beautiful, natural surroundings.
Members of the public are encouraged to join in the unveiling on Saturday, 15 December 2018, by bringing a picnic and joining in the fun with a variety of new lawn games, including Giant Jenga and Ring Toss. Light refreshments will be on offer to the public from 11 am – 12 pm to celebrate the new upgrades.
The addition of the new facilities is part of an ongoing development plan for the area. The Precinct has become increasingly popular with Melbournites looking to escape the busy city-life and get back to nature.
Ian Potter Lakeside Precinct is located at Cranbourne Gardens, corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne. Entry is free and all ages are welcome.
