Through the creative lens of contemporary Australian artists, Making the Metro Tunnel captures the process of building this massive city-shaping rail project.

Making the Metro Tunnel follows two strands - artists who have made work that responds to the project’s construction including the early archaeological dig, underground tunnelling, aboveground construction and the project workers; and artists featured in a partnership with Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria.

Artists include Daniel Agdad, Oliver Ashworth-Martin, Troy Argyros, Emma Coulter, Chelsea Gustafsson, Michelle Hamer, Caitlin Klooger, Jenna Lee, Harley Manifold, Kenny Pittock, and Iluka Sax-Williams with Dan Bowran, Tai Snaith, and Dianna Wells.
