The Growing Friends’ Nursery is open EVERY FRIDAY between 10.00am and 1.00pm for MEMBERS.

The Nursery 

The Friends' Nursery is located next to the RBG works yard.  Staffed by members of the Growing Friends' group (see below for more information on the Growing Friends), it has in stock a large range of trees, shrubs, perennials, bulbs and succulents.  Download a copy of the Latest Plant Catalogue (pdf) of plants usually available in the Nursery.  Members of the Growing Friends are normally on hand at the Nursery to offer advice and recommendations.  Don't forget to ask about what's on Special.

Bi-annual Plant Sales

Each Autumn and Spring the Growing Friends hold a major plant sale in the RBG, which is open to the General Public.

The Autumn 2010 Plant Sale will be held on -

Saturday 17 April 10.00am to 4.00pm
Sunday 18 April 10.00am to 3.00pm

FOR ALL PLANT SALES BEFORE THE AUTUMN 2010 SALE THE NURSERY WILL BE OPEN EVERY FRIDAY MORNING TO MEMBERS

The Spring 2010 Plant Sale will be held on -

The Growing Friends

Who are the Growing Friends?

Member volunteers who work regularly in the Friends’ Nursery to propagate rare and interesting plants, many from stock in the Gardens, for sale to raise funds to support projects in the Gardens.

If you would like to join the Growing Friends please contact our office or download a Volunteer Application Form.  Volunteers need to be Members of the Friends.  Join now by filling in a Membership Application Form.
