How you can help?

fern gullyJOIN THE FRIENDS.  Your Membership of the Friends helps the Gardens. The Friends raise money to support special projects in the Gardens and the Herbarium. Since 1982 the Friends have donated over $1,300,000 to the Gardens.

In the last year the Friends have donated funds towards Misting the Fern Gully, The Establishment of a Rare and Threatened Species Bed, Upgrade of Growing Friends Nursery and Renewal of the Ornamental Lake Outlet Pipe.

Make a tax deductible donation (click to download form) to The Friends’ Trust Fund. Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.

FRIENDS' 25TH ANNIVERSARY SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

The first recipients of the Friends' Scholarship were announced at the Friends' AGM on 19 November 2007.  They are -

‘Water Works, Water Wise’

In 2002 the Friends launched Water Works, Water Wise, a long term project to finance the upgrading and completion of much of the RBG’s irrigation system.   Since then over $120,000 has been donated through this project.

- upgraded computerised irrigation infrastructure
- installation of irrigation to the Southern Cross Lawn
- installation of irrigation to Ian Potter Childrens’ Garden
- installation of irrigation and misting system in the Fern Gully
