Gifts in your will
The vision of the Royal Botanic Gardens is to be one of the world’s outstanding botanic gardens, loved as much by our grandchildren - and their grandchildren - as by so many of us today. However the organisation cannot achieve this without the generous assistance of the community.
Bequests help us to build a secure financial base for the Gardens. We welcome residuary bequests and legacies and are happy to discuss particular preferences you may have for your gift.
The Board of the Royal Botanic Gardens established the Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation Victoria in 2001 as a charitable trust to receive gifts from the public and to ensure that these are used to build a secure financial base for the Gardens. For this reason all bequests and other donations made to the Foundation are invested, and the income generated is made available to where it can be most usefully applied. The Foundation has been endorsed as an income tax exempt charitable entity and as a deductible gift recipient under the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
