Marion de Boer
Marion
’s influences towards botanical art have come from living on the Bellarine Peninsular on farms and orchards and her mother’s love of gardening, flower shows and as a country florist. Through her painting,
Marion
hopes to share the excitement of discovering the wonderful architecture and infinite variation in colour and hue contained in each plant species as its own intricate life pattern is revealed.
Marion
has studied botanical art with Margaret Muffet and John Pastoriza-Pinol for the past five years and has exhibited in local exhibitions since 2002 receiving a ‘Highly Commended’ award at “Angair” and a “Best Painting” award at the Drysdale Easter Rotary Show in 2006.
