During her years as a professional nurse Jennifer painted landscapes and still life in watercolours. Retirement from nursing and a visit to the ‘Art of Botanical Illustration’ in 1996 inspired a pursuit of botanical art. Since then she has studied at the Melbourne School of Botanical Art and continued with that inspiration to devote herself to botanical art. She has been teaching Botanical Art with Adult Education in Launceston for several years. “The artistic exploration of the botanical world has become for me a passion. I strive to capture the light, colour and form in a scientifically accurate manner, without compromising the creative integrity of the work.”
