A freelance botanic artist living in a

bayside suburb, Helene Wild has been drawing and painting ever since she learned how to hold a pencil. Her preferred subjects have always been the flowers, insects and other small creatures that inhabit her garden. . She has accepted many commissions to paint natural history subjects, and several companies are using her floral images on their products. In 1999, Helene was appointed Resident Artist to the Habitat Trust where she enjoys painting the indigenous species growing in the beautiful

and where she has been allocated space to showcase her work. Since 1989, she has edited the Australasian Native Orchid Society (Victorian Group) newsletter.
