Banksia rosserae  (Work in progress) NFS

During the exhibition of 2006 we are honoured to be able to present a work in progress by the internationally acclaimed botanical artist Celia Rosser. Celia is in the process of completing a work on a new Banksia, which was discovered in 2001 at Kirkalocka Station, south of Mt Magnet, in inland Western Australia , growing in the population of a new Grevillea discovered there.  This new species was named Banksia rosserae, in her honour.

Celia has kindly agreed to exhibit her incomplete work during the exhibition. This gives artists and collectors an opportunity to view the creative process of one of the acknowledged masters in the field. Understandably this work is not for sale.
