Susan Jarrick
An absorbing interest in botanical art developed from Susan's love of gardening, natural history and art. During the early 1990s she attended 'refresher' drawing and 'fast and loose' watercolour classes, but from then on has been self taught apart from two recent lessons with John Pastoriza Pinol. She sold work through the Handmark and

, and completed private commissions and work for Forestry Tasmania. Work and family demands reduced Susan's opportunity to paint for a few years but now she is able to devote increasing time to plant portraits. She particularly enjoys painting fruit, rare or unusual plants and the detail of seed pods and bulbs.
