Carrol Farmer has always enjoyed painting and drawing but it was not until retirement that she was able to indulge herself with some serious study. It was pure chance that led her to Jenny Phillips where, under her excellent tuition, the delights of Botanical Art became apparent. In recent years Carrol has successfully exhibited at the National Herbarium, the Wireglass Gallery, Pappillon in Malvern,Villa Mulberry and in the National Trust Artists Diary. Her designs have been used by Robert Gordon Ceramics and by Rotary International who accept a donated painting each year of an indigenous plant for their Christmas cards which are distributed
