Alwynne Fairweather

Born in Sydney , she graduated from Sydney University majoring in botany and geology. Since 1970 she has been a resident of Melbourne and finds the diversity of native plants in Victoria a continuing source of inspiration. A foundation member of the Botanical Illustrators Group of the Friends of the RBGM, she has exhibited at each of the exhibitions held by the group as well as several in private galleries. One of her paintings hangs in the Esso Collection of rainforest plants in their Melbourne headquarters.
