Rosemary’s life-long love of the natural world developed into a passion for gardening as an adult. Although a teacher by profession, she studied Horticulture after her children were born. Landscape design interested her and she enjoyed painting garden plans with watercolour pencils. In 1999 an introductory short course in botanic art with Enid Mayfield made her want to discover more about this exacting art form. She has since joined the Geelong Botanic artists and continues to be inspired by tutors, Margaret Muffet and John Pastoriza-Pinol, fellow artists and the beautiful Geelong Botanic Gardens.
