Diane has studied botanical illustration with Dianne Emery at the Royal Botanic Gardens for the past eight years and finds the transparent quality of watercolour perfect for depicting the delicate reclusive flowers that captivate and inspire her. She has exhibited successfully in many exhibitions including Catanach’s Gallery and “The Art of Botanical Illustration “ in 2000 and 2002. Additionally Diane has been a quiltmaker for many years, winning awards in Sydney and Melbourne for her fine hand quilting. She currently teaches this traditional technique.
