Diane Boak
Diane Boak, a botanical illustrator, was born and brought up in
Hampshire
,
England
. She moved to
Australia
in the late 1960s where, after acquiring a diploma in Finished Art at
Box
Hill
College
, she worked in the graphic design industry for several years in advertising and corporate design. Pursuing an interest in painting and a love of nature, she started illustrating plants and animals in 1996, initially with pencils, later progressing to watercolours. She has since studied botanical illustration with botanical artists Dianne Emery and Terry Napier. Diane has exhibited successfully in galleries throughout
Victoria
, including “The Art of Botanical Illustration” exhibitions at the National Herbarium of Victoria and
Benalla
Art
Gallery
. She has won awards for her paintings and sold her work throughout
Australia

.
