Miriam Blight
Miriam is a graduate of Swinbourne University of Technology, completing a four year course in art and design followed by a Diploma in Education. She was employed designing for textiles, furnishings, jewellery and museum displays. She also taught art and craft for twelve years at
Firbank
Anglican
School
, Brighton and has taught embroidery at the Embroiderers Guild
Victoria.
More recently she studied Botanical Illustration with Dianne Emery at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. Her love of painting and drawing combined with an appreciation of all flowers and plants has developed into an absorbing challenge. Miriam’s work was exhibited at ‘The Art of Botanical Illustration’ Exhibition 2000 and 2002 and in 2002 at the

Gallery
. Her work is held in private collections in
Victoria
and interstate. Her other interests are embroidery and textile crafts, floristry, gardening and teaching.
