I was introduced to botanical water colour by Margaret Castle who advised about Terry Napier’s classes at Park Orchards which I have attended for several years. I have participated in “The Art of Botanical Illustration” on a prior occasion. As a mother of four boys my passion for painting is often competed against by others needs but remains a major priority. The piece selected to display in the current exhibition is the combined result of my desire to paint Australian natives with the aesthetic pleasure the Correa pulchella gives the viewer.
