Wendy Ritchie
Plants and gardening have always been a major focus in Wendy's life culminating in her Chairmanship of the Open Garden Scheme for Victoria in 1990 and 2000. As a textile artist, Wendy has exhibited original creative work throughout Australia and in the UK and Japan and was President of the Embroiderers Guild Victoria from 1980 to 1984. In 1989 she completed a Design Course at Burwood State College (now Deakin University) which extended her interest from textiles to other techniques, particularly print making and watercolour paintings. Since 2000, Wendy has been studying at the Botanical Art School of Melbourne and now wants to paint every flower in her very large garden.
