Terry M Napier Terry lives with his wife in Park Orchards Melbourne Victoria. He has painted for fun most of his life but in the late 80's a chance encounter with Japanese brush painting focused his attentions onto natural subjects. He subsequently switched to watercolour and has been concentrating on botanical studies with forays into birds and insects subjects ever since. Terry has had a number of major commissions including a series of Australian Birds for a major wine company, and has painted for calendars, cards, stationary etc. He has had a number of exhibitions and participated in a great number of combined shows. Currently he is a participating artist in the collection of Australian plants being painted for the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens and also a florilegium being prepared on the gardens of Government House Melbourne. Most of Terry's work stems from commissions but some can be seen in galleries around Melbourne. His commissioned works have been sold overseas as well as throughout Australia. Retiring from RMIT in 1996, Terry now is able to concentrate full time on painting and teaching. Click on an image below to see a larger view (then use "back" on your browser to return).
