Merle McIntyre

Merle was a potter up to 1997 and loved decorating pots, some with the impression of eucalyptus flowers. She had exhibited around Australia and has her pots in private collections around the world. Four and a half years ago she started botanical illustration classes with Dianne Emery at the Gardens, specialising in lichens. Merle has exhibited in The Art of Botanical Illustration 2000 and a couple of group exhibitions. Her interest in lichens was generated by the sister-in-law, Dr. Kath Ralson, Lichenologist. From some of her paintings she has made etchings and limited editions of fifteen.
