Dianne Emery Dianne studied art at the, then, National Gallery School in Melbourne (now the Victorian College of the Arts), followed by a Diploma in Education. She worked as an artist and teacher for many years, teaching at secondary, TAFE and tertiary levels. Always interested in plants and horticulture, Dianne enrolled part time at Burnley Horticultural College, VCAH Burnley, and eventually began teaching short courses in Botanical Illustration there. This was followed by the teaching of further short courses at Swinburne University and Melbourne CAE. She now teaches exclusively at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, running courses and workshops in Botanical Illustration and Art. Dianne has exhibited widely, including The Art of Botanical Illustration exhibitions organised by the Friends of the RBG since 1994. Her work is held in the State Collection of the Royal Botanic Gardens as well as in private and corporate collections both in Australia and overseas.
