Gillian Scott

Gillian Scott is a biologist who received training in Botanical Art from Mary Grierson in London in 1975. In 1986 she was invited to join the international Society of Botanical Artists and in 1991 she was the first Australian to be awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal Horticultural Society.

She has painted commissions for private and institutional clients, has held several solo exhibitions, teaches Botanical Art regularly and has written and illustrated several books. She is a member of the Botanical Art Societies of Australia and Queensland and is currently tutoring in Brisbane and Toowoomba.
