Merle McIntyre

Merle was a potter up to 1997 who loved decorating the pots she made, some with the impression of flowering eucalypts. Her pottery was exhibited around Australia and she has her work in private collections around the world.

In 1998 she started botanical illustration classes with Dianne Emery through the Friends of the RBGM, specialising in lichens. Merle has exhibited paintings in the “Art of Botanical Illustration” in 2000 and 2002 and has exhibited in a couple of group exhibitions. The RBGM bought, for their State Collection, one of Merle’s lichen paintings in 2002.
