Rhonda Favaloro

Rhonda began painting in 1972 studying with Bill Coleman, a prominent Victorian, contemporary artist. She went on to develop her drawing and oil painting skills. She was introduced to watercolour painting by Corrine Thompson and fell in love with the medium though frustrated with a constant cry to “get rid of the detail”.

In 1996 Rhonda heard Jenny Phillips talk on the radio about botanical art. She was immediately attracted by the importance of detail in this form of art. From that day on she has concentrated entirely on Botanical Art, studying at the Melbourne Botanical Art School .

Rhonda has exhibited in ‘The Art of Botanical Illustration’ since 2000, in exhibitions at Villa Mulberry, South Yarra and is a permanent exhibitor at the Woodbine Art Gallery in Malmsbury , Victoria .
