Diane Boak
Diane, a botanical illustrator, was born and brought up in
Hampshire
,
England
. She moved to
Australia
in the late 1960s where she worked in the graphic design industry for several years in advertising and corporate design. Pursuing and interest in painting and a love of nature, she started illustrating plants in 1996, initially with pencils, later progressing to watercolours.
She has since studied botanical illustration with artists Dianne Emery and Terry Napier. Diane has exhibited successfully in galleries throughout
Victoria
, including previous ‘Art of Botanical illustration’ exhibitions and
Benalla
Art
Gallery
. She has won awards for her paintings and sold her work throughout
Australia
.
