Artist in Residence @ Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne

Saturday, 19 July

11-3pm

Come and see a demonstration on the art of “Dok Mai Jark Dinh” or traditional Thai handmade flowers. An ancient traditional Thai art, this is passed down from mother to daughter as you would pass down such skills as knitting and crocheting.

In Thailand, the orchid is the inspiration for Thai people and each family has their own clay with special ‘secret’ ingredients that are passed down generation after generation.

Come in and see how these beautiful flowers are made.
