Casey Jurgens

One of three Senior Curation Assistants involved with the Preparing for Digitisation Project, Casey’s work focuses primarily on curating and sorting the unmounted vascular specimens from the Global Plants collection of the National Herbarium of Victoria (MEL). Specimen curation is the first stage of preparation, which then allows for specimen databasing and imaging. Casey also assists the Team Leader Collections Volunteers (Erin May) in providing quality control and supervision to the Herbarium volunteers, as well as providing supervision to the Curation Assistants.
