The Australian Forest Walk The Australia Forest walk focuses on displaying a range of Australian forest species from the impressive forest giants to the middle and under storey trees/shrubs. Explore Rainforest plants from Tasmania to Queensland in the Gardens' new Australian Forest Walk. This Walk features informative signage telling the story of our rainforest habitats, and highlighting the importance of conserving these precious areas. Enjoy walking through out forest setting. Don't forget to look up and see the forest giants. Agathis robusta , the giant Queensland Kauri, Toona ciliata, the sensational Red Cedar. And many more. Dicksonia Antarctica | Evergreen Fern, large trunk, up to 6m x 40 cm, large green fronds radiate from the centre of trunk. | Elaeocarpus reticulatus | Small-medium sized tree up to 15m, white/pink bell shaped flowers in spring followed by colourful blue berries. | Toona ciliata | Large deciduous tree up to 40m x 2m, small white/pink flowers in spring, known for its rich red/fragrant timber. | Banksia serrata | Gnarled, large shrub up to 10m, oblong, serrated leaves, grey/green flower spike in autumn. | | Banksia integrifolia | Medium sized tree up to 15m, leaves sometimes serrated with silver underside, large yellow cylindrical flower spikes at various times of the year. | Corymbia citriodora | Large Gum tree with strong lemon scented leaves. | Epacris impressa | Small shrub with needle like foliage and small tubular flowers (Victorian floral emblem)

- 2006 Collection focus and name changed from Australian Rainforest Walk to Australian Forest Walk.
