Do's and Don'ts

Do's and Don'ts

Help make The Ian Potter Foundation Children's Garden a safe and happy place.

Adults please:

* Familiarise yourself with the water play areas. The pond has shallow edges and is 0.8m  deep at the centre. Wading, drinking or swimming in the pond water is prohibited.

* Ensure that children in your care are supervised appropriately at all time, and encourage them to respect the garden while they play.

This garden is for everyone to enjoy. For this reason we ask that you keep the site:

* Glass-free
Going bare foot is one of the joys of this garden for our 'little visitors'. We don't want any accidents as a result of broken glass.

* Rubbish-free
There are rubbish bins near the entrance to the toilets, outside the Visitor Centre.

* Smoke-free
Exercise your lungs instead!

Planning on a picnic?
The lawn area is great for children to run around and roll about on. The need space! We suggest you enjoy your picnic in one of the many beautiful picnic spots elsewhere in the Royal Botanic Gardens. Ask a staff member or volunteer for suggestions.

Please remember...respect the plants as you play.
