The following entry fees apply for the Australian Garden:

$9.80 adults, $8.35 concession, children under 16 free. 

From July 1 2009 entry prices to the Australian Garden will increase. Entry will remain free for children under the age of 16.

Entry to the bushland at RBG Cranbourne is free.Tour/activity costs apply, as indicated, and are additional to the entry fee for the Australian Garden. Fees also apply, as indicated, to activities advertised for the bushland.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

There's a baby rockpool bunyip living in the garden, but he's nowhere to be found!

Explore the garden, search through the trees and seek out the baby bunyip. Then use beautiful coloured sand to create your own rockpool bunyip to take home to your garden.

And you never know, Grubby the Garden Grub may come to help...

Activities will include story-telling and sand art and will vary depending on the age group.

What is a Hortasaurus - is it a bunyip, a dinosaur or maybe even a dragon?

Come in and build your own Hortasaurus from the amazing seeds pods of Australian plants. 

Drop in to our activity station any time between 1 - 2.30pm and build your own Hortasaurus to take home.

Join Wurundjeri Elder Vicki Nicholson-Brown on a guided walk through the RBG Cranbourne.  Discover the customs and rich heritage of the traditional custodians of this land.  The tour will start with a traditional Tanderrum and gum leaf welcome ceremony followed by a discovery of traditional bush foods from across Australia.

Bring your family, friends or community group to enjoy the new Woodland Picnic Area at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne. This is a fantastic new space complete with barbecues, a spectacular children's playground and large open spaces for ball games. A great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

After your barbecue, explore over 4km of bicycle track which winds through beautiful bushland, grasslands and welands. Watch for the amazing Australian Wildlife that calls this garden home.

Discover the wonderful artwork of renowned artist, Janet Flinn. Janet finds most of her favorite subjects such as parrots, kookaburras, robins, wrens and magpies, close to her Melbourne home. She depicts her subjects in a realistic manner, but places them on a background where the colours and shapes work in a non-narrative way to suggest their environment.
