Join the Director’s Circle

Donors in the Director's Circle are encouraged to become involved in future plans and developments at the Royal Botanic Gardens. A large proportion of Director’s Circle donations is invested in the Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation. The remainder is used at the Director’s discretion for high priority projects such as biodiversity research, water conservation and plant collections.

Support a Gardens’ project

For those wishing to make larger contributions to help develop the Royal Botanic Gardens, a number of exciting projects are available for you to support. Projects range from the development of new garden features, water projects, and the restoration of heritage facilities, to plant sciences and conservation research and the curation of important collections. Leave a gift in your Will

Leaving a gift in your Will (PDF - 863 kb) to the Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation is one of the most enduring ways of providing for the future of the Gardens by helping to build a secure financial base. We would be pleased to discuss your interests and any preferences you may have for the use of your bequest.

Seat sponsorship

Some people choose to sponsor a seat to celebrate an event such as a birth or wedding anniversary; others wish to pay tribute to a loved one who enjoyed spending time in our beautiful Gardens. A portion of your sponsorship donation is invested in the Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation to support the Gardens’ conservation and development. You can choose to sponsor a seat at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne or at the Australian Garden, Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne.

Tree sponsorship

Through our tree sponsorship program (PDF - 55 kb), you can provide regular annual support symbolised by a special tree in the Gardens.

In Memoriam

An In Memoriam gift (PDF - 236 kb) is a wonderful way of making a lasting tribute to a loved one, while at the same time helping to conserve and develop the Gardens. Your In Memoriam gift will be invested in the Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation.
