Master Plan

Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne completed a detailed review of its Master Plan in 2008. The Master Plan was originally developed in 1997, so a review to gauge progress was timely.

The focus of the review was on the key initiatives and landscape development projects that were implemented at the Gardens between 1997 and 2007, as well as works planned for the coming 10 year period. The review addressed current issues and challenges facing the Gardens, such as climate change, limitations of available water, biosecurity, and weed risk.
