How to book Visitor Programs

Bookings

Call the Customer Service team at the Visitor Centre on (03) 5990 2245. Bookings can also be made in person at the Visitor Centre any time between 9am – 5pm each day (except Christmas Day).

Confirmed numbers

At the time of booking, please confirm the number of participants you are booking for. Visitor Program bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking or at least 7 days prior to the program. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

Payment may be made:

  • in person at the Visitor Centre by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS
  • by credit card over the phone on (03) 5990 2245
  • by mail with cheque or money order made payable to Royal Botanic Gardens.

Cancellation Policy

If a program is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (a day of Total Fire Ban or extreme weather conditions) the program will either be rescheduled or a full refund will be issued.

The Royal Botanic Gardens reserves the right to cancel a program due to an insufficient number of participants.

If an individual cancels a booking providing at least 24 hours notice, a full refund will be issued.

If an individual cancels a booking within 24 hours of the visit or does not attend, a refund will not be issued.

How to make a Group Booking

Bookings

Confirmed numbers

Group programs have a minimum number requirement. The minimum price quoted will apply even if the number of participants is less than the minimum number allowed for that program.

Group bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received. The confirmed number of attendees is required 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour. This is the minimum number for which charges will apply.

If, on the day of your tour, the number of attendees increases from those numbers provided 24 hours prior to your tour, payment for the additional people will be required. If, on the day of your tour, the number of attendees decreases from those numbers indicated 24 hours prior, a refund will not be issued

If your group cancels a booking, provides at least 24 hours notice, and reschedules to another date, administration fees will not be charged.

If your group cancels a booking within 24 hours of the visit or does not attend, a refund will not be issued.

How to book an Education program

Minimum charge

A minimum charge of $189.00 per class applies for each program.

Confirmed numbers

Confirmation of the number of students attending a program is required 24 hours prior to your visit.  This is the minimum number for which charges will apply.
A Tax Invoice, reflecting your confirmed student numbers (or the actual number of students, should this number increase) will be sent to you following your visit.

Payment

Invoices must be paid within 14 days. Payment can also be made in person (on the day of the program) at the Visitor Centre via cash, school cheque or credit card.
