About Plant Names

About plant names evolved from a regular column in Australian Horticulture written by Roger Spencer for over three decades as well as Rob Cross more recently. Both are horticultural botanists at the RBG Melbourne.  The column sadly came to an end when Australian Horticulture ceased publication in June 2012 after almost 110 years of service to the horticultural community in Australia. Roger and Rob think there is a need for alerting horticulturists to name changes, especially of cultivated plants, and for discussing the issues related to plant naming. And what better way than through the web!

The links below will take you to some of the articles originally published in Australian Horticulture and some newer ones as well.
