2011 Fungimap Conference VI -  Western Australia

We are now beginning to plan the NEXT Fungimap Conference in 2011. The location is very likely to be near Denmark WA, possibly in July 2011.

2009 Fungimap Conference V -  a great success!

Thursday 21st May to Tuesday 26th May 2009.

Conference programme
As with past Conferences, we began with a full day of talks on Friday 21st May.

Dr Ray Kearney from NSW on Lane Cove fungi
Dr Frances Guard from QLD on Sunshine Coast fungi
Pam Catcheside from SA on Fungi from the driest State - South Australia
Dr Matt Barrett from WA on Macrofungi of the Kimberley fungi
Katrina Syme from WA on A Season of Fungi (Denmark area)
Genevieve Gates from TAS on Entoloma fungi

The weekend of the Conference brought local forest forays each morning, followed by afternoon Workshops (after lunch). Click on this link to view the Workshop programme. Workshop Programme

On Monday 25th May, all delegates spent their last day together exploring the native bush adjoining the Mt. Tomah Botanic Gardens. For fungal forays, there was a "Jungle loop" as well as a steep Conservation area (for the very fit and keen).
