Fungimap VI Conference
Every two years Fungimap holds a national conference.
In 2011 the Fungimap VI Conference was held in Denmark, Western Australia, 14th to 19th July.
The five-day event was jointly organised by Fungimap and the Western Australian Naturalists Club.
Fungimap VI consisted of a day of fungal talks on July 15th followed by three days of forays and workshops. Forays included a day trip to the Valley of the Giants to see the giant red tingle trees. The Conference included a celebratory fungal dinner and a fungal trivia night. There where also exhibitions of fungal photography and fungal art displayed around the town. From all accounts, Fungimap VI went well and was a great opportunity for mycologists and fungi enthusiasts alike to share knowledge.
