Insects & Plants Workshop

Insects & Plants Workshop – presented by the Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne

An impressive list of presenters will join you for an all-day workshop, providing wonderful information on the importance of plant and insect relationships. 
The day will be finished off by propagating some insect-reliant plants to take home. 

Speakers for the day will include:

  • Patrick Honan from the Melbourne Museum - ‘Do plants really need insects or is it just vice-versa?’
  • Broni Swartz from the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne - 'Insecticulture'
  • Trevor Edwards from Latrobe University - 'Insect-plant mimicry'
  • John Arnott from the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne - 'Create a butterfly garden'
  • John Thompson - 'Droseras and the insect-reliant trigger plants'
