10am – 3pm
Cranbourne Gardens, Elliot Centre

This two-day intensive workshop will cover how to portray the detailed structure of eucalyptus flowers. The workshop will be held over 2 days 2 weeks apart to enable the students to develop their paintings towards completion during the second session. Watercolour will be the main medium used, but graphite, coloured pencil or pen and ink would also be suitable. It would be advisable to have some previous experience in drawing, but not necessary. Plant material will be supplied, DO NOT bring your own specimens.

Marta is an experienced exhibiting artist and art teacher whose background in education and fine arts led her to botanical art via Jenny Phillips. She has a particular interest in Western Australian flora and travels regularly to WA to paint species found in the wheat belt and the south-west. Her work is represented in private collections on both sides of the Pacific and in various publications. Images of her paintings can be viewed online by entering ‘Marta Salamon botanical artist’ into a search engine.
