Biodiversity
2010 is the United Nations International Year of Biodiversity. Make this year a big year for Biodiversity in your school. The Royal Botanic Gardens is one of the primary national organisations charged with conserving biodiversity and the oldest science institutions in Victoria. The Gardens runs a number of different programs for schools, teachers and students that focus on Biodiversity.

We have ResourceSmart Schools AuSSI Vic facilitators at both Melbourne and Cranbourne that can assist with the Biodiversity module of this national program. See also the Biodiversity Up Close – An audit of biodiversity in the school ground, activities that can be conducted in schools with relevant VELS links and other background information.
