| Student Programs Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and Cranbourne An excursion to the Royal Botanic Gardens offers an excellent opportunity for students of all ages to further their understanding of environmental and related issues in an attractive, safe and stimulating outdoor setting. Strategic curriculum based programs have been developed by the Gardens' Education Service to assist teachers and provide an enjoyable and valuable learning experience for students from pre school to tertiary levels. Each Education program: - is designed to support teachers in achieving the Victorian Essential Learning Standards.
- is lead by a Royal Botanic Gardens Education Officer.
- provides for school groups at the Melbourne as well as the Cranbourne sites.
- can also be adapted to suit individual class needs.

Free Education Programs
The Royal Botanic Gardens is committed to making our education programs accessible to all students. We understand that program fees can be a significant barrier for some schools to visit the Gardens. To assist in overcoming this barrier, the Lord Mayor's Charitable Trust provides financial support for eligible schools to participate in programs and activities at the Royal Botanic Gardens.
