Coastal gardening with Australian plants

Join Rodger and Gwen Elliot, renowned horticulturists, authors, native plant enthusiasts and propagation experts, for monthly gardening workshops at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne this winter. Save with a Winter Series Pass and enjoy all three hands-on workshops for just $50 per adult or $45 concession. Rodger Elliot AM and Gwen Elliot AM have written 35 books on Australian native plants and contributed to Australian and international garden journals and magazines for over 40 years.

Many Australians live by the coast and gardening in these conditions can be rewarding yet challenging. This ‘hands-on’ workshop with Rodger Elliot will focus on sensitive plant selection, protection from strong winds and salt spray, soil conditioning and erosion control.

The workshop will provide morning refreshments, a visit to the Seaside Garden with one of our Horticulturists, a salt-tolerant plant to take home to get you started on your coastal garden, and one daily pass for the Garden Explorer.
