Friday 25 Aug 2006 Pre-Conference Tour

 

There will the opportunity for guided tours at 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm for Conference attendees of the new highly acclaimed Australian Garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Cranbourne.
Bookings are necessary with registration.

Saturday 26 Aug 2006 Horticultural Program

 

To be held at the Karralyka Centre, Ringwood (30km east of Melbourne). Horticultural Session will be held during the day, with the Conference Dinner in the evening.

Sunday 27 Aug 2006 Field Trip (Full day)

 

Travel to renowned local gardens in the eastern suburbs and foothills of Melbourne to enjoy wattles as well as other plants and the layout of the garden landscapes. Lunch will be provided on this Tour. The Tour includes the public Maranoa Gardens, and the private Hanson and O’Neill gardens.
Bob & Dot O’Neill’s award-winning garden displays about 150 species of wattles.

Monday 28 Aug 2006 The Science Behind Acacia: Current research and recent discoveries

 

Program now available

To be held at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, South Yarra. The Science Behind Acacia Session will include research papers on current studies of Acacia. Confirmed speakers (to date) include: Mr Bruce Maslin, Dr Daniel Murphy, Dr Peter Thrall, Dr Gillian Brown, Dr Laurence Mound and Dr Robin Adair.


Tuesday 29 Aug 2006 to Friday 2 Sep 2006 Post-Conference Tour (5 Days)

 

This 5 Day Tour will include visiting the regions of Rushworth, Bendigo, Little Desert and Grampians by coach, accompanied by expert guides.
