Vacancy – Customer Service Ranger (Melbourne Gardens)

  • 7-mth position
  • Work Saturday and Sundays 

Leading cultural and tourism institution, the Royal Botanic Gardens (RBG), is seeking experienced and suitably qualified individuals to join our Customer Service team. As Customer Service Ranger, you will be primarily responsible for protecting the assets of the RBG and ensuring visitors have a positive and memorable experience of the Gardens.

Your role will include face-to-face customer service and administration based at our Visitor Centre as well as patrol duties, enforcing regulations and responding to emergencies.   As a first point of contact for visitors, you will provide world class public programs, services and information to a diverse and growing audience, while at all times ensuring visitor safety.  

You will have excellent customer service skills and experience in providing general information to visitors.  Basic horticultural knowledge is desirable, but not essential.  This part-time position will require you to work Saturdays and Sundays as well as public holidays.

Vacancy – Post Doctoral Fellow (ARCUE) 

The focus of this position is to conduct research on the structure and function of urban and suburban ecosystems and assist in the development of nationally and internationally recongised research program.
